Jo's Philosophy

I believe that caring for children is based on a key of understanding the children themselves. I will take all the time it takes to get to know your child, and assure that they feel comfortable in my care. Above all, I foster an environment where children are respected, given opportunity to flourish, and encouraged to be themselves.

Your child will thrive in my care, while I work according to the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage). I will happily explain the details of this when we meet.

"Last year's Early Years Foundation Stage Profile (EYFSP) results showed a three percentage point improvement for all children nationally at the end of reception and the gap between the lowest achieving 20 per cent of children and the rest closed by 1.7 percentage points, just one year after the statutory implementation of the EYFS."

"In 2009, five-year-olds across the country showed improvements in twelve of the thirteen scales of measurement in the Early Years Foundation Stage, with the biggest improvements in Communication, Language and Literacy (CLL)."
